Connector Types (with Photos)
VGA – VGA connectors are identifiable by three sets of 5 pins, totally 15 pins. This connector is usually blue or silver in color.
DVI – is a connection that is long with a set of pins and a larger knock-out pin. Usually these are black or white connectors.
RCA/Component Video – Component Video is recognized as three separate cords, each making up a channel of the composite. One, usually yellow, is for video. The other two, usually red and white, are left and right audio channels.
HDI/HDMI - This is the connector made specifically to deliver HD signals.
S-VIDEO – Sometimes used in conjunction with RCAs, this plug delivers video only and the quality is better than RCA connections.
