When Island Resort Packages, Inc. wanted to light a fire under the
dwindling vacation industry in 2003, they came to Flexi Display. There
had been a recent downfall of vacations because of a slowing economy
and tighter work restrictions that stopped many people from taking as
long of vacations, or no vacations at all. Island Resort Packages
wanted to change all of that by enticing it's prospects to relax in one
of it's hundreds of island locations.
To accomplish this, we
used four of our 2'x3' panels in a dark blue to create the feeling of
serenity that a deep blue ocean would bring. We used a nice colorful
shot of beach-goers enjoying the white sands and another of a man
sitting carelessly in a hammock, enjoying the ocean breeze. To seal the
deal, we put an image of a shell on a sandy beach, inviting the
consumer to take a walk, collect some shells, and enjoy their vacation.
The
display was a hit! I.R.P. sold many more vacations that year because of
their display design and aggressive marketing of beach vacations.
